Each month, one of South Africa’s top chefs presents a four course dinner designed especially to express the culture of the featured regions as part of Taj Cape Town’s Expressions series.
Our journey through the world’s most beautiful winelands continues to Stellenbosch Berg, Banghoek and Helderberg wards of Stellenbosch
Launching on Thursday 28 June, guests can experience the harmonious balance between traditional and modern winemaking styles of the region as some exceptional wines are paired with offerings from Guest Chef, Janice Anderson of 96 Winery Road.
Janice Anderson draws her inspiration from a combination of South African favourites and flavours from around the world, using fresh, organic and local ingredients to create a rustic cuisine taste sensation of which selected dishes will be featured on our MINT restaurant Table d’Hôte menu for the month of July.
The evening will begin at 18h00 with a private tasting with the winemakers from the participating estates and is followed at 19h00 for 19h30 with a 4–course dinner, paired with regional wines. Cost is R350 per person including mineral water and parking at the adjacent Mandela Rhodes Place.
Wines featured at the private tasting will be available to purchase on the night at cellar door prices through our newly opened wine kiosk which is open seven days a week.
Our MINT restaurant Table d’Hôte menu for the month of July is R175 for two courses, R210 for three courses, including a glass of wine. Whenever guests dine from our Expressions menu, there is chance to win one of many prizes including an evening stay for two people in a Luxury Room at Taj Cape Town.
