On the 14th, 15th and 16th of May 2010 Franschhoek – located 50 minutes from the Taj Cape Town – will host the Franschhoek Literary Festival.

The annual Franschhoek Literary Festival offers a selection of talks by authors (or panels of authors) ranging from discussions about writing techniques to more controversial politically inspired debates. It’s a full weekend programme and, if you’re anything like us, you’ll have trouble deciding what to attend because it all sounds so interesting!

The whole Franschhoek Village will be getting in on the act. Not only will literary greats be sharing their thoughts, ideas, inspiration and more but a lot of local restaurants and hotels will also be sharing through special Franschhoek Literary Festival offers.

Tickets can be purchased online or on the day (but, to avoid disappointment, we suggest purchasing before the event).

interesting article. – i have never seen this place in franschoek. is it open on a daily basis or just for tours?

  2. The image we used is not from Franschhoek. It is in fact a picture of the Ann Arbor library (in Michigan USA).
