Have you ever noticed how we drive from point to point without taking in the stuff in-between? Well we’ve noticed that we often manage to travel around Cape Town without realizing how amazing the places we pass are. Or how, if we walked instead of driving, we’d not only save fuel, reduce our carbon footprint and burn a few extra calories but we’d also arrive at our destination a whole lot more relaxed. Road rage is a very real thing, especially during lunchtime Cape Town traffic!

Recently we took a midday stroll through the Company Gardens and ended up at Mint for a light summer lunch and both were excellent. The gardens were full of people enjoying their lunch break and children on their way home from school. It was so full of life, laughter and happiness that we arrived at lunch in the best mood. No parking grumpiness or midday traffic stress.

Could you ask for a better Friday? We think not!
