One Response to “Table Mountain Cableway”

  1. The idea of providing public transport to the top of Table Mountain goes back to the 1870s in Cape Town. The suggestion then was a railway line. Work started but the Anglo-Boer war put paid to the undertaking. In 1912 a suggestion came forward for a funicular railway. The First World War stopped this development.
