Theo Cromhout is the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Taj Cape Town.

Theo Cromhout has over 18 years experience in both the local and international tourism and hospitality industry.

Theo is a respected member of the South African tourism community and has worked in senior management positions in operations, sales and marketing in the luxury five-star hotel sector both locally and abroad, these include: Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Sun International, Ascott International Management and now the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces.

The South African Parliament, located in a short walk from the Taj Cape Town, is the seat of two houses:

1. The National Assembly – made up of 400 Ministers of Parliament (MP’s). These MP’s represent the interests of the various South African political parties.
2. The National Council of Provinces – here the interests of South Africa’s nine provinces are represented, attended to and generally looked after.

The South African Parliament, in Cape Town, is famous for many things including: at least one successful assassination of a president and the sitting of the first truly democratic South African Parliament led by Nelson Mandela.

The South African Parliament welcomes visitors and the tour, which we’ve experienced first hand, is excellent. Parliament, in Cape Town, is definitely worth at least one visit.
